"Lower Fat and No Fat Foods Won't Help You Lose Weight"
When you stroll along the aisles in a supermarket you will notice whole shelves dedicated to "lower fat", and "no fat" versions food. The entire nation has an obsession with lower fat food and the majority of people believe that if they consume food that is lower in fat then their body fat would be lower also. Does this make sense to you? No, this is not right.
You must understand the trouble with this theory is that the amount of body fat someone has doesn't necessarily equal to the caloric intake of fat that the person has. The fact is that any kind of calories from any food could change into body fat, whether it comes from fat or something else we eat.
For instance, if you consume two pounds of sugar daily then your amount of body fat might increase, however sugar does not contain any fat at all. Even though you ate two pounds of sugar daily and this is considered as being on a no fat diet, you would still put on weight in the form of body fat.
The same way if you munch on a big plate of plain white rice all day long, your body fat would increase, but rice is a no fat food also. Now that you have heard all this, what do you think about no fat foods?
In addition to this, you will find a lot of no fat or lower fat versions for cakes, cookies, pies, chips, and other snacks selling in the market. But, do you actually believe that these snacks can be good for you if the fat is reduced or removed? Certainly not, and your body fat will increase if you consume an excessive amount of this junk food.
The truth is that lower fat foods have been available worldwide and the production of lower fat foods have increased in the last ten years, however people continue to get bigger and bigger. This should teach you that lower fat diets don't work.
You should eliminate the words "no fat" and "lower fat" from your vocabulary because these are nonsense words to trick you into believing that these foods are good for you. As a matter of fact, you should not care too much about fat calories and do not become stressed about counting the amount of carbohydrates too.
